Rainbow Medicine has extended its weekly schedule with the launch of a Saturday clinic at its Lane Cove premises, responding to growing demand from patients who could not access weekday appointments. Saturday sessions begin from 9.00 am to 3.00 pm and cover the full range of services normally offered Monday to Friday.

The announcement follows a year-long internal review of patient access patterns. More than 40% of new-patient enquiries received in the previous twelve months specifically asked about Saturday availability. The decision means Rainbow Medicine now operates six days a week without changing its existing weekday hours.

"We hear consistently from patients juggling work, school drop-offs and family care that weekdays simply do not work," said Dr Christine Shen, registered acupuncturist and Chinese medicine practitioner. "Saturday opening removes a real barrier to getting consistent, high-quality care, particularly for working parents and shift workers on the North Shore."

The Saturday roster covers fertility, IVF support, women's health and Chinese herbal medicine, with the same evidence-informed standard of care that defines weekday sessions. Patients can book online 24/7 or by phoning 0410 699 065 during clinic hours. New patients are encouraged to allow 75 minutes for their first appointment so a full history and treatment plan can be completed without rushing.

Saturday is also expected to support the clinic's growing programme of free community talks, several of which will now run on Saturday mornings to maximise accessibility. Patients who have previously been on a waitlist for popular slots have already been contacted directly with new Saturday openings.
